About Us

Weston Photographics began as a simple idea one afternoon 17 years ago. This
site has now been running since 4th April 2005! John had been doing photography
for some time, while Yvonne was just beginning and was just getting
enthusiastic about it. We both thought how good it would be to eventually have
our own website and maybe even run our own photography business. Here we
are, some 15 years on, with the next step of our hopes and dreams coming true.

Just a decade or so ago Yvonne got her first SLR camera, a Minolta Dynax 500, from
a secondhand store, and since then has gone from strength to strength, having
passed the Amateur Photography Diploma course with distinction and appearing
in Maloney Live in the same magazine a few years later. She is never happier
than when she has a camera in her hand and a plant in her viewfinder. She now
uses a Fuji x-s 10 and various other Fuji cameras and lenses which have replaced the Sony a6000 and Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX400V and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ70. So she has every eventuality and situation covered.

John, on the other hand, has been taking photos for years. His first camera was a
Zenit and gradually over the years he has progressed through a range of cameras
including, amongst others, a Nikon D70, Nikon F80, Sony a6000, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX400V, and various lens, complimented with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ80. The Sony and Nikon cameras have now been replaced by a Fuji x-s 10 and various other Fuji cameras and lenses. Again  a camera for every situation.

John’s first photographic love is sport, especially tennis, and not far
behind comes landscapes and architecture.
We travel all over the country taking photos so if there is any type of photo you are looking for and you don’t see it on the site then please contact us. We have a database of well over 30,000 photos and we are always happy to take commissions.

On our old site we had a link to our e-photo shop. We are currently trying to decide the best way forward with regard to that on our new site and we will post on here once we have made a decision about having another e-photo shop.
